Building Commission approves final funding plan for Babcock Hall project
On Thursday, February 27, the State Building Commission approved the final funding plan for the Center for Dairy Research addition and renovation of the dairy plant within Babcock Hall. The University of Wisconsin Board of Regents approved the plan earlier in February.
Following this final approval for the $25.7 million budget increase, construction and the remaining design of the sanitary process can continue in earnest, with Gilbane Building Company serving as the project’s “owner’s rep.”
Project partners with the Department of Administration, DATCP, UW System, UW–Madison and industry are confident the new facilities will be worthy of America’s Dairyland.
