Fundraising goal met
The Wisconsin Center for Dairy Research (CDR) has reached the $16 million fundraising goal for the building project to rebuild and renew Babcock Hall and CDR on the UW-Madison campus.
In April 2012, CDR launched building campaign efforts at the International Cheese Technology Expo in Milwaukee, where Governor Scott Walker expressed his support for the dairy industry and this building project, which will be funded in part by the State of Wisconsin. Now, just eight months later, CDR has reached the targeted goal of $16 million dollars in pledges and is continuing to accept donations as the additional funds will be used to improve facilities and support programming.
The building project has been approved by the University of Wisconsin Board of Regents, but will still need to be approved as a part of the Governor’s Budget, which will be released in February.
Milestone date: January 11, 2013
